Flexi hose into Sierra caliper- need locknut?

When I fit the flexi hose into the Sierra caliper am I 'meant' to fit a locknut or will the locknut at the other end stop it unscrewing?

Reason I ask is that the thread on my brake hose is too short to fit a lock nut once it's into the caliper.

Cheers,

James

I haven't got a locknut on my Cortina ones, they should lock into the taper at the bottom of the union. They don't twist so there's no undoing action on them.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
