Handbrake on live axle
I will be running a Mk1 Cortina axle on my build ,but its handbrake is rod actuated, and Sods Law means the rod is right where I need to place a
Panhard rod,is there a cunning way round this situation ( a tried and trusted fix ?? )

Yep, move the back plates around and drill new holes to suit, as its a common problem

So the trick is to rotate the backplates and drill new mounting holes? But the rod passes through a 'boss' on the axle,do you just ignore
it?

Can you cut the boss off and re-position it ?

The Ron Champion answer was to use Allegro handbrake cables, I believe, and do away with the rod system

This is what my axle has. All of the rod mechanism removed, and a bracket welded on to mount the Allegro cables. I haven't even needed to rotate
the back plates....

Both 'rear' cables or both what are described as 'front' cables?

I've not got the book to hand, but I think it is the 2 rear cables
