Sierra to Escort UJ
Anyone have any experience with the Sierra to Escort UJs that either rally design or car builder solutions sell? Both seem cheap and not an area to
scrimp on.
Anyone done anything different?
Thanks
Jon

Don't buy the one from Rally Design, the quality is poor. I've had two of them and they both had excessive play in the UJ spider. I
didn't find this out until I had to drill out the clamp arrangement so I couldn't return them for a refund.
On the other hand, I bought one from CBS at Stoneleigh and the quality is so much better even though it looks like the RD one. The clamp still
won't fit around the Sierra steering shaft and needs to be drilled out and fixed with two bolts but the UJ is good on this one.
I'm a bilingual illiterate. I can't read in two languages.

Same as above posts. Early last year I had 3 in total from RD all with terrible amounts of play and they didn't seem particularly bothered about
the issue.
So I then went to CBS. The first one I had also had a little play - but when I contacted them about it he was on it like a shot. Measured the play
from random samples of his stock - agreed they were terrible and threw the rest of the stock away (sourced from overseas of course). He then had a
local company he knows are good remake a batch of proper quality ones and 3 days later I received a perfect replacement. Superb after sales service
and I only use them now.

That's good to know. Thanks for the replies, will order from CBS and check for play.
