try www.dampertech.co.uk, I think it's just a case of the caps lock being on.

Regards Dan.

Website addresses aren't case sensitive. Could have just been a blip in the website. I can get on now, so give it another try.

You can use parts from Spax and Avo's as they are identical internally. I have often swapped parts between them. The links between the companies are very strong and the designs are very similar.

You can try Nitron they may still have parts from there dampers that may work for you.

Alternatively i sell a very reliable shock kit for Locosts via my website at only £220 complete with springs and billet machined aluminium anodised spring platforms etc..

Kind regards,

Darren

Errr, I thought that was Avo and Gaz? Something to do with the person who set up the companies?
As fo swapping parts with Spax, unless you were paying a lot more money for higher spec ones, then AFAIK the Spax would be destroyed as they are sealed units?
Are your shockers adjustable for spring height and damping? If so, then they would be a very good buy.....

Dont just build it.....make it!

The internals of the Spax were/are identical too, and if you had knackered ones you might concider cutting them open and using parts.

Mine are adjustable for ride height only. The damping has been determined through testing etc on a car so you don't have to e able to adjust them they are adjusted already. Most people i have spoken to who use adjustable shocks say they have only ever played with them a couple of times, and don't really know quite what to do with them anyway. So why pay 100+ pounds for something that doesn't get used and only reduces the reliability of the unit.

The reason why these other manufacturers provide the adjustment that they do is so they can build all shocks with the same valving whether it be a big heavy car or a light formula car they are all the same, the customer has to do the trial and error to find his cars ideal in there somewhere. With such a broad range of adjustment (and not singled out between bump and rebound) there are very few clicks that are useful, ideally you would have much finer adjustment and be able to adjust bump and rebound seperately. Without these features i fail to see that its worth the extra cost.

Kind regards,

Darren
