feed pipe union/barbs for master cyls

what's the cheapest anybody has found for 7/16" unf unions with hosebarbs and a taper seat to attach feed pipes to master cylinders?

I see Burton do them for £7 or so each

I couldn't see em in their catalogue.

was a bit of an ulterior motive in my question, as with all difficult to source bits I was investimigating to see if it was worth getting a batch made.

I knocked a couple up last night for my car (need 3) and will do a couple for MikeR, but if there was some demand it would be a cheap bit to spin up on a CNC.

I'd say doing em on my manual lathe would want about £5.50 each for em but CNC would make them much cheaper.

They also don't need the copper washer that burton use, which I don't like when there's a perfectly good convex seat in the connection on the cylinder.

i can ask them for the price if you like as i'm popping over in a couple of hours for a couple of bits so i can try and get my engine started at the weekend and they couldn't guarantee delivery.

ps do you mean FBM1211 @ 4.83+vat?

ahhh gotcha!

they are nice and cheap, should be ok, got to clamp the hose down onto them quite a bit as they are for 1/4" bore hose not 5/16" but they ought to do the trick!

I was looking for these bits a little while ago!!

The rally design fitting kit is banjo fitting to -4 hose to straight fitting so can only be used with the reserviors with theaded hose fitting outputs (which dont have sva caps). For push on hose you need a simple barb fitting - rally design said they were just finalising one and it would be ready the next week, so give them a call as they should now have a 7/16 straight barb fitting.

But I really wanted 7/16 banjo bolts and banjo barb fittings so my reservoir hoses came out horizontal. In the end Think Automotive were the only place that could supply that. I'm sure the price was no more than the single straight barb fitting from burton above.
