goodridge hoses

help please looking into sorting out my flexi's looking at buying hose and union's and building them myself is this ok for sva or do the hose end's have to be crimped and what diameter pipe do i require thanks andy

There are conflicting stories about diy braided hoses - some have passed and others insist that they are not suitable. I have yet to find out if my hoses will pass - they are modified Goodrich hoses.

Mine are "homemade". The design of the ones I used had a inner pipe bore support tube which the outer layers conpressed onto and it was said that this design is OK. Worth taking a copy of the instructions to the SVA if there is any confussion to show the design is up to the job.

Same design as mine by the sound of it so I might be ok after all. I'll have a look for a drawing of the fitting - must be one on the Goodrich site.
