Is it enough?

I have been trying to get my steering to self center.
I only have 3.5 degrees of castor and I have 0.5 degree toe in on both front wheels.
I know about the toe out trick, but I would much rather the car works ok without it.
I have experimented with different tyre pressures. At 45lb nothing, but at around 25lb I get some movement.
With my wheels on full lock and at about 5-10 mph, the wheel shows signs of self centering, but they are very slow jerky movements.
Will this be enough to "show signs of self centering" that I have heard about here?

when they test the self centering they drive round in circles at quite a pace and then let go of the steering wheel and as long as it shows signs of trying to straighten up i think you'll be ok but i suppose it depends on the test station.try that and see what happens

The test station is Mitcham.
Anyone else have experience of sva here and what was the tester like on self centering?

When i took my 1st Indy in i did nothing to aid self centering except for a bit of toe out. The tyre pressure was about 28psi or std from Halfords and i think this helps a bit. Apart from that mine was as built. I can't remember how much it self centered but it must have a bit to pass.

Andy

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
