trailing arm brackets

ive got a new chassis now,the brackets for the trqiling arms has trailing arm bolt holes about 1" closer together than the brackets i intend on welding to the axle,is this going to cause a prob?

Seen it done....

It will give you a rigid mounted axle and crush any bushes you fit, you won't need shock absorbers though .
