Speedo cable for smiths speedo.
I have a smiths classic speedo and a type 9 box..
Does anyone know what speedo cable i need?? Will a sierra one do it??
Probably in the wrong section i know.

Smiths used different threads, if it is the small one used by Triumph Lotus a 60s Ford one defo fits eg Ford Anglia, Mk1 Cortina, Corsair.
Mk2 Cortina should also be OK

Dan , you might find that fitting a speedo cable to a type nine in a Luego is a tight fit . If you can get one in then I think that Europa Car Spares
can make a cable to your requirements .

Also Speedy cables (if they still exist) are excellent..just tell them what fits on each end and how long it needs to be, and bingo.....job done.

I was thinking right angle drive out of the box??

Don't forget you might have to get the speedo re-calibrated to match your final drive ratio

If you get the cable from the same peeps, ie speedy cables, you might be able to ask for a discount with the recalibration as well ?? It's
worth asking
I'll have to do the same if I keep the clocks I have
