Suspension set up

I was thinking about getting my camber and toe in set up professionally. Just spoke to a local guy that runs rally cars. He immediately asked me if i also wanted the corner weights set up as he has the kit. The question is will the improvement be noticable getting everything set up as opposed to just getting the camber and toe in set?

He is talking about £100 cash for the full set up which sounds like a good deal. I have heard that camber and toe in is around £60 so just wondering if the extra cash will be a good investment. Hoping to hear from anyone with practical experience.

100 quid for the whole lot sounds a very good deal. IMHO its well worth getting the corner weights set up properly as this will improve your cornering etc..

For 100 quid well worth getting it all done.

the £40 is money well spent there darren, having you corner weights out of kilter will unsettle the car as it rocks fractionally along the diagonals.

£100 i might give him a visit myself!

You've got a really good deal there. I've been quoted £165 plus VAT for the same job.

Thanks guys. I have a sneeky suspicion the price might be slightly higher when he realises the rear camber requires a bit more strip down to adjust. Its easy to do but takes a touch longer than some cars.

Hi yes get the corner weights set up and also find out if he is going to set the ride heights so as to suit your individual car set up. It's alright having all the static settings right but is he going to take in to account whats happening as the suspension is moving around paticulary at the back end with camber changes in roll.

cheers matt

Great minds Darren,

I was over at Jude Performance, in Newcastle, on Monday talking to Ian about getting the geometry on mine set up properly.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers

Mike
