Bottom Ball Joint Nut Locking

Hi All

Have trial fitted my wingstays, and am concerned about how little thread is showing above the nyloc portion of the nut. Now the stays are powdercoated I doubt that any thread will show at all, though it is definitely engaged on the thread all the way to the top, and the threaded portion of the nut is obviously fully on the ball joint shaft.

Is there another threadlocking method that the SVA man will find acceptable ? Lockwire ? Plain nut and sprung/star washer ? Any ideas welcome

Simon

If you drill through nut and stud and fit a split pin that should be OK
