Thinkauto

said that theirs doesn´t come with SVA aproval certificate.

Rally Design does one but it costs total order amount almost 30pounds. including certificate..

Car builder solution doesn´t state it on their site/catalog.

merlinmotorsports does sell it but dunno if they do certificate..

Tks

its got any number or markings on it and i know at least 4 other builders on here that have used it and passed SVA.

It doesn't degrade and is designed for brake fluid and has the markings to prove it...........do we need to do more than that?

surely same argument should apply as for petrol hose - if it is marked, then no certificate is required.

mhh

well this is what i recieved from

info@Thinkauto.com

This hose does not come with SVA approval certificate. We supply it for use in off-road motorsport.

then i asked about the normal brake hoses:

This hose has PTFE inside, stainless steel outer. We understand about the SVA but NONE OF OUR HOSES ARE CERTIFICATED.

Am i a commercial expert in saying that they atleast could have pointed me out that they did pass SVA with it? or that it has markings on it?

I now have ordered by merlinmotorsport online. together with more parts...

Gave them a chance for selling by almost 8mails in total.

i couldn´t see from here if it had markings.... they should have told me if they would like to sell..

Tks

to be honest Think Automotive don't have anything to do with SVA, that is up to their customers.

they are a tiny little company operating from a small backstreet premises in london, and are extremely busy serving motorsport orders.

it's up to us to sort the documents out on things like this.

But yes, the blue hose that Think supply is certified to various standards, one of which includes compatibility with "normal" brake fluids

bullchips

If you sell stuff you need to know these things.

maybe he forgot maybe he was to busy let it be..

but if he just says it has markings on them or it complies or what ever then it was fine.

the customer can´t see what he is buying!
and on their site many hoses you see their print but on the blue brake one not.

it isn´t much effort to say it if you know it/remember it.

albeit SVA ing your car is the customer problem.

Tks

p.d. for me its the same when buying 8.8 grade bolts.. you can ask for a paper but its logical they will say its stated on the bolt and if their bolts are 8.8

http://www.fuelsystem.co.uk/hose.htm

That stuff is suitable for brake fluid, and you can get a little certificate if you need it for SVA, this is what I have used quite happily.

Cheers
