A Couple of quick questions
When I tighten up the bolts on the suspension mounts with poly bushes (GTS), am I right in thinking that I should tighten them so as to immobilize the
crush tube and let the pivot occur on the bushes?
Got a De Dion and Sierra diff and shafts. I've still to find some rear hubs and carriers but do I need the stub axles?

How many pages!! A resounding yes then. What about stub axles? Is that a yes, thought I wouldn't need them.

Our racers will be running Y419's, pivoting well lubricated on hex head bolts that have a stop across one head flat, to prevent the bolt
rotating.
Next best thing to a rod-end. (Other than Nylatron, of course. )
But modern, compliant pu bushes with PROPER Stainless Steel bushes, should immobilise the tube. Lubricate with whatever doesn't attack the
compliant stuff.
Cheers,
Syd.
A piece of rubber rod, with a metal tube through it, is anything you want it to be. Not just a Metallistic bush!!!!!!

ALL Crush tubes should be bolted up tight so they dont move at all.
The Arm should then be free to swing with no play.
If its too tight ie restricting the movement of the arm, then carefully skim a little off the outside face of the polybush (evenly off each one, so as
to keep the arm central.
Rusty Nuts had this on his Luego Locost.
His only required about 30 thou" skimming of each side at the worst. Its not much to take off!!.
ie try removing a very little, then test again.
remember that 30 thou" a side will be 60 thou" total. Its the outside face of the bush NOT the faces inside the tubes.
I have to do this as well as Mine squeek.. like Rusty's did.
He says it improved the handling. Namely the suspension is working and not restricting movement and acting as a damper.
If you have the Crush tubes loose they will wear the holes in the chassis brackets oval, and they will then need to be replaced.
So DONT have loose suspension bolts / crush tubes.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards

Ha ha Can't say I read all 25 pages of that link but I've obviously touched on a passionate subject. Will clamp them tight (handier for
me as I thought my bolts were just too small) and use a bit of lube like Syd says.
Cheers m'dears
