Clutch Actuator

Any one know if the hydraulic clutch actuator off a Mondeo will fit in the standard type 9 bellhousing?

Wondering if its worth the hassle

A few people have fitted them, but you need to turn up an adapter in order to mount the assembly to the front of the type 9 and ensure that it is absolutely co-axial to the input shaft.

You can buy a co-axial release bearing and mounting spacer for a Type 9 from e.g. Burtons, but they aren't overly cheap.

Better to use the SAAB 900 cylinder -- better quality and easier to mount.

I used the Mundano unit in my Getrag box.

I had to machine a flat area on the inside back face of the bell housing to mount it onto.
