What durometer urethane for suspension bushings?
I've got some 60 durometer (shore A)urethane,but I thought I'd ask someone whose actually driven a locost,would this be any good as
bushings?I intend to use this car as a secondary road car.I dont expect to do any racing.
How big is the difference between a car w/urethane and a car w/neoprene bushes?
I'm not expecting (or wanting)a Cadillac ride,but I would prefer to avoid 4-cylinder
dental work.

If you search for 'shore', there is a recent thread called 'suspension bushes, which' that involves a discussion on shore
ratings.
It says 70 and 80 are the commonest, 80 being harder.

just spoken to my dad who owns a rubber moulding company, he rates moulding in rubber would be a better option as it is more durable and will last
longer. it would however need to be slightly harder than the urethane as it is more flexible.
I've just taken out all my rubber bushes and replaced with 70 shore poly bushes.
I'm sure its much of a muchness.
I haven't driven my car with the poly bushes yet to tell you what it feels like.
