Fiat balljoint on sierra upright

Guys,

I thought I caught in passing someone saying that a fiat balljoint fits in the bottom of the sierra upright.

Can anyone confirm / deny this?

Machining need doing??

Vauxhall (Opel) Astra BJs supposedly fit.

Not tried it myself though.

the fiat bottom ball joint sometimes used is the one fro a Fiat 126 ( a very old one then). This one does not fit straight away. You have to change the hole in the upright (larger and different angle). we use this one on our car. If you want some moer details about this ball joint (Quinton Hazel part nr. and correct taper), let me know.
