Hi
Yes but the cortina axle is much wider and will require wider rear wings!

A Capri axle (Timken type) is another good choice. It's 2" wider than the Escort, so you won't need wheel spacers. I'm told the Cortina unit is another 2" wider.

Wider than what?

You say the rear wings need to be wider, i was under the impression that all rear wings on sale where the same size?

I have a Corry MK2 rear axle ready to fit on my Locost, can someone let me know where to get the 'wider' wings from.

Cheers
Mike

I wouldn't rush into buying 'wider' wings. One of the issues a lot of people have with the Locost is the 'caravanning' (I think it's called) look caused by the wheels being tucked too far into the wings.

Having a longer axle can only help over come this.

Two pennies!

Another 2p.. Peugeot wheels are the same stud pattern as Ford but with a different offset such that the wheels will sit nearer the car. Might be useful if you want standard wings?

Personally it looks like I'll be using some pretty big spacers to push my wheels as far out as possible.

BTW I have a mk2 Escort rear axle for sale. Email me for details!
