shocks
What spring rates would you recommend for my MK with 2.0l SRI 8v engine in and what make shoul I buy I have looked at MK's and a set of gaz
shocks for £250 all in.

The ones supplied by GTS are good. Darren @ GTS will tell you what rates you need.

4x1.9 Gaz adj coil over dampers plus 4x1.9 quality powder coated springs, inc carriage and VAT.
I got them for 250 all in....they are fab

I'm using the same engine and have 350;b front and 190lb rear. the car is not finished so this is untested. my shocks were from a 2ltr zetec car
so i'm guessing the weight will be similar.

thats practically identical to my rates used on a big iron ford v6 - do you have your shocks at a shallow angle ned? the more they lay down, the more
leverage and the less the effective rate.......
woulda thought your vauxhall was lighter....

or - could be my front is too soft - but feels and rebounds right (albiet on the drive!)

Shocks not mounted yet, so angle yet to be determined. These are as i said from a westfield that was running a 2ltr zetec. I'll see when it goes
together....

FWIW, my shocks feels very hard indeed, barely moves when i jump on the front end. Time will tell though, id rather too hard then too soft!
