ABS is an option on all the sierra range, it is more likley on higher models eg ghia. Some Later DOHC cars had discs and no abs.
I am using rear discs from a F reg 2.0i ghia SOHC.

Sierra Drums to Discs

Does any gent care to enlighten the poor ignorant here?

Hi all

My question is: can I install Sierra discs & calipers (don't mind the hub carrier, it's a matter of two more ears) in my Locost for which I have a Sierra drum-braked rear-end?

Cheers

yes you can

we have two laser cut plates that bolt over the top of the drum brake bearing housing setup to adapt for discs ( we use this setup with the standard sierra dics and calipers on our racecar ) as the drum brake shafts are a lot lighter than the disc brake shafts

if you want a picture u2u me or email and will forward

best regards

marc

Going back to Bob's "granny diffs" there were two different basic types fitted, hence the confusion, there was the 7" as fitted to the XR4x4, 4x4 Cossie etc, and the 7.5" as fitted to some (cosworth 24v ones I think?) scorpios and the 2wd sierra cossie.

On the weight of Disc brake sierra shafts question, I am using the complete setup from a 4x4, but because I need narrower shafts anyway (Stuart Taylor independent chassis) I am having some nice thin light ones made by GB Engineering, £70 each and unbreakable.
