sierra rear brakes
Morning,
bit of a noddy question how to i get the pistons to retract in sierra rear brakes. they arnt on the car so nipple fully open and i can only get it to
retract enough to fit the pads and not the disc

you need to screw the piston back in.. the spanner you get with an angry grinder works great
|

You need to push and turn As said above spanner for angry grinder works great.
Just remember dont apply the handbrake until you have bled the brakes.

As above ^^^ DON'T operate the handbrake untill you've pumped the pads out with the footbrake.

As above turn clockwise with pressure to
Retract anti clockwise to bring back out.
The instruction I have with the ones I've just brought say turn in fully clockwise and then half a turn back, fit and then check clearance (0.25
to 1mm) adjust accordantly and then bleed brakes then fit handbrake.

What happens if you do use the handbrake before bleeding the brakes?
