Setting basic tracking/camber
Hi guys
I want to take my almost finished locost up and down my lane this weekend as I haven't drove it at all since I started rebuilding it 6 months
ago.
It has a live axle so the rear should be ok, but I want to set the front wheels near enough straight for me not to scrub out the r888's within
the first 5 minutes of driving!
anybody got any ideas for setting it in my garage on the cheap?
Im thinking of a spirit level to set the camber at 0 degrees, and some string set straight against the rear tyre wall at 3 and 9 o'clock, and
setting the fronts in line with that.
Does that sound like its gonna work?

That's exactly how I set mine up for inital "road testing". Works fine for ball park settings and got me through SVA too.

i cable tied to ali tubes about 5 ft long acros the half way of my front wheels with most of the tube in front of the wheels. I then measured the
distance between the 2 bars just in front of the wheels, if you want the wheels set at 0, measure them again at the end of the bars and they should
be the same measurement.
Not to hijack but I am rose jointing my lower wishbones so i can adjust camber and castor. How can i measure the caster to check its right when i put
it back together?

toe isnt a problem for me to do, and camber is done really easily with a digital spirit level.
Its the caster i need to try and get right.
