hand brake lever and custom cables

ok, i need a handbrake lever which has no bits below the mounting bracket (ie it should be able to bolt on top of solid steel plate, and be able to operate fully)
not worried about what car this is from originally, preferably quite a short handle on it, like the length of one from a mini. MUST be able to have 2 cables fitted to it and operate.

also, need some cables made up to go from this lever to the sierra calipers

photos of hand brake levers would be nice too

cheers

Have a look in my blog. February 2008 section.

I used a Rover handbrake handle, clamp etc from a 200 model and Landrover cables to the Sierra Drums. Landrover cables because the standard Rover ones were far too long (and expensive!)

The handle has the mechanism over the top of the mounting. Go down the scrappy and have a look at the setup. Much better than the Sierra one.

Some fettling at the drum end required to the Landy cables to fit but I ended up with an OEM setup that SVA man approved of greatly.

looks good steve!
that that lever would be ok bolted to the floor on the car for example? or rather, one of the seat mounting plates.

Meant to say, its sierra calipers i have. are disc and drum cables the same on the sierra?

No the disk and drum cables
are different on the sierra.
Drum cables have a plain nipple
on the end and disk cables have
a square closed hook kind of thing
on the end(i can't think of the correct
term for the fitting on the end)
