Sierra rod ends and Rally Design Uprights

Hi,

I have sierra rod ands and the Rally Design Cortina Ali uprights and im trying to fit them together. if i put the rod end in the steering arm of the upright there is a 3mm gap all the way arround so there is play when you do it up if i put one of the ali inserts in the steering arm hole then the rod end bolt only just comes out the top so its not possable to do up the bolt engough to get to the nyloc bit. Is anyone else running these uprights?

Cheers

Paul

You should definately have the aluminium insert in the steering arm.
Push the ball joint into the insert you may need a bit of pressure to do this as you compress the rubber cover, then put the nut on and draw the ball joint up into the aluminium insert. I put a washer on before the nut so the washer is bigger than the hole in the steering arm as the nut was only just bigger than the hole.

Not sure if my TRE's are Sierra or Escort. They were supplied by MNR with the kit.
