Designing a fuel tank
I had originally planned to use a plastic fuel cell.
I think I will now go down the road of having an aluminium tank made to fit exactly.
My original fuel cell had an inlet and outlet for fuel at the bottom of the tank and a breather at the top.
I intend to stick to this principle as I will have an external fuel pump. ETB sell a VDO Dip-Pipe Fuel Level Sensor which I like the look of.
I've attached a couple of pic's of what I intend to do, can I please have your opinions!

well at least its not going to be effected much by going round corners  looks fine

It's a very good idea, but, the question you have to ask yourself is.
Will it be worth the effort?

i've put a lot of effort time and money into everything else. My car isn't exactly low cost so i don't want to skimp on design at
this stage, so little to complete before i strip the chassis and finally get it shot-blasted and powder-coated.

My only concern is that you have way too many bends.
A lot more spots that can go wrong.
Can't you just make it straight like a 7 tank?

looks good to me, just the fabrication issues mentioned above, but that should be fine if you get it done by a professional, or if you yourself are a
dab hand at the old tig welder!
one thing that could be interesting is the fuel level will not be very accurate with the level at the top being more than at the bottom if you know
what i mean, but i dont think it should be too much of a problem.
Have you got a link to this fuel sender youve found, im interested in getting a dip stick sender also!

you should try a horizontal cylindrical tank for scary readings
