Steering Column Offset?
Does anyone know what the steering column offset is if you are not using a crushable column?
Another quick Q, did the later Capris have a crushable column?
Thanks

So 'The Book' is wrong in saying you can use the Escort column then, 'cos none of them were crushable. I know it also suggests
Sierra columns.
I was hoping to get away with using all the bits off a Capri hence the second second question above.

the book is wrong in MANY respects!
Book one has a car with single cct brakes - not allowed. And has a winscreen with no wipers or demist facility.
get a copy of the sva manual and treart anything in 'the book' with a lot of caution!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically what Steve is saying is that the book is great for the initial inspiration, and for steadying unstable table legs down the local boozer
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Thanks for the warnings guys i know the books got errors in it, quite a few on the chassis alone. Having done the CAD model I have picked up on
them
Ok so I am probably about to look stupid; Steve, what are CCT brakes?

In fairness to Ron Champion the book was first published pre-SVA. Having said that it hasn't been changed a lot since.........
