Calculating split rim section sizes

How do I work out what sizes of inner and outer sections to use in a split rim wheel?

The center section does not look flat as if there is some offset already inbuilt so it would not be as simple as dividing the width by 2 and deducting the offset for the outer and adding the offset for the inner. Would it?

Cheers

David

Ta Paul,

I had seen that before but never read it properly! So there are different centers depending on the ammount the brake caliper protudes - any idea the most common one - no point in buying a center I can't resell!!!!
