What is the best stuff to make some new bushes from, will oi lite do.?

Do you mean wishbone bushes? Oil-lite probably isn't a great idea as it will have zero tolerance to misalignment. Metalastic or polyurethane bushes are the usual choices, or rod ends for track use.

Oil-lite type material would be a better choice for highly loaded pivots such as rocker arms.
