Cortina bearing Kit - useable?
would this bearing kit be alright for the rally design available ally hubs/commonly available cortina uprights? kit is for one wheel, include 2 taper
bearings, 1 grease seal, 1 split pin, 1 sachet bearing grease. Is there anything else i would need as i havent got any parts, im making them all
myself. Is the grease seal for the back side of the hub or the big one that goes over the front nut? I can easily machine a nut seal if its not the
one, i imagine the backside needs a seal too? Other than that, good price for one wheels set?
Thanks Al

The seal is for the back of the hub , and seals on the stub axle - the outside is sealed by a press-in steel cap .

I got my bearing from the local motor factors, I paid £11 per side.
You need to be careful with the rally design hubs, if they anodised you need to clean the area were you press the bearing in, as the anodising makes
it slightly under size. I found out to my cost and one of my hubs actually run out of line due to this.
UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.
