Wide track front suspension

Hi, I`m going to build what will be mainly a book chassis with a full width sierra based de dion back end. My original intent was to narrow the sierra back end to roughly book width but after reading of the hassles this can cause on other threads, I`ve decided to go the full width way. Bearing in mind I`m using Cortina uprights, not sierra ones, how much longer than book width have those going down a similar road made their front wishbones & what changes need making to the wishbone to chassis mounts & the shock absorber mounts?I`m intending to get my shockies from GTS, still seems cheaper than anything I can get in NZ. Cheers & thanks, Steve.

Hi, Have a look at the Luego Velocity XT, it is a book chassis, but with full width sierra rear and wider front.

I made my own chassis but bought the wishbones off Luego. If you wanted to know the length so you could make your own, send me a U2U.

John
