1155 pads on the road?

Hi all,

Just wondering whether there is anyone out there using mintex 1155s on the road. A bought some a while back whilst racing and haven't yet got round to fitting and bedding them in.

The box seems to state not for road use but IMHO there are plenty of pads from other manufacturers out there in use that are more 'extreme' than 55s and don't carry a type of disclaimer such as this. I understand that there would be possible legal implications from doing so but hypathetically speaking are they ok for road use or are you never realistically going to get them up to temp on the road? And should I just save them for the next circuit use?

Cheers
Andy

I used 1155's in a BMW track car I had and they were great but there was NO retardation until they had some heat.

Meant to add, use 1144's on the road or Ferodo DS2000, DS2500 are also just about OK but need a bit more temp to work!
