Powdercoating Wheels
How much would it be to get a set of 15" wheels powder coated black. Seen some wheels on ebay that i think would look good black. Would powder
coating work on wheels? and would it look ok?
Thanks
Chris

Got mine powdercoated black by a company called lap-tab in Birmingham.
They're on the web.

They turned out looking pretty good (I think) like this:

A local company quoted me £15 a wheel with a zinc undercoat (?) first. The only condition was that I had the wheels blasted first.
No connection.

Hopefully they mean a chromate primer - the usual stuff is a 2-pack etch primer that leaves a greeny-yellow colour that sticks like the proverbial.
Not stuff you want to use at home, as it's isocyanate based . Mind you, I do have some, but I brush it...

just been quoted £130 for 17,s in plain
or £150 for translucent
but a bit far from you
when you start this journey
you think it will be done in " no " time but then " no " turns into a " bloody " long time
