ford atlas axles ?
does anyone here know anything about them?
another dax owner has what he was told was an atlas axle (dax used to use cortina donors)
it has 5 wheel studs on a ~120mm PCD and suits a ford centre bore, although its drums apear to have been modified
anyone know what this axle might be and how to identify it ?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

If it's a 5 stud then it's a p100. They originally had monster drums on. They're super heavy with 10mm thick tube walls.
There was a baby atlas - they cost more than the Pink Panther these days - Mk1 3.0L capri, a heavy duty atlas - yours, a wide atlas - later capris, A
transit atlas and a weaker cortina atlas.
