Track rod ends

hi,
Just fit a new quick rack onto my car but having issues with track rod ends now.
It came with new ends but they are different to my current ones, only by the width of the insert that poull up into the hub when tightened in.
My current ones have a diameter of about 13mm but the new ones are only 12mm so when you tighten them into the hub they pull in too far and wont work.
I can reuse the old so need some more, does nayone know what the diff between them all is??
I have cortina uprights as far as i am aware.
Many thanks in advance
joe

You may have RS2000 track rod ends instead of the Cortina/ Escort ones you need.
Did you buy the steering rack and TRE's from Rally Design by any chance?
