Not London but daaan saaath

Just stripped the front end off my ratty looking MK
took wishbones and headlight brackets to a place with a view to getting them chromed, but the guy was a bit off with me - I think its because I presented him with them still painted? and was probing to see if he could give me a clue as to how long it should last
but he refused to give any answer

anyway called in at a place local to me (Gosport) that does powder coating
I gave them the engine mounts/wingstays/alt bracket and a few other bits n bobs, got a quote of £30 for them to be blasted and coated in black
Thought that was reasonable

Noticed an OZ wheel on the side that they had done in silver, looked the buizness they told me they could also apply a laquer over silver giving a real nice finish

went back to the car and showed them the bones and headlight brackets - and asked how much for them to be blasted and done in silver - it added an extra £10 so bit their hand off - £40 notes all in for the lot!!!!

Collected it all yesterday and am well happy with the finish on all the bits

(to the extent I am now SERIOUSLY considering stripping the chassis right down and giving it to them to just do it- going to get a quote from them on Thursday hopefully)

-I should post photos of the finish I guess?

If anyone needs a coaters down this way look up "Plasicoat GB"
They have a website - http://www.plasticoat.co.uk/

maybe worth geting a courrier to drop off and pick up at those prices?!
I know they did say they weren't terribly busy at the moment and mine were turned round in 2 days

Regards
Rob
