How to check if you have a LSD

drive your car onto your neighbours or local golf clubs nicely manicured grass, now place car in 1st gear rev engine and drop the clutch after a short distance stop and look behind if you have left 2 nice muddy grooves you have an LSD, now beat a hasty retreat, please note this can be done on your own lawn but is not recommended if your wife doesn't have a sense of humor

As above, you can do this with an open diff. However, I have an LSD as I prefer the lines to be perfectly equal in length!

Jack the rear wheels up. Both wheels usually rotate the same way with an LSD, with an open diff they rotate in opposite directions.
