Installing LSD..

I want to replace the open diff in my car with an LSD.

Open diff has push in shafts, I was just about to go find some bolt on lobro shafts when i thought I would do a search.. now I'm very confused.com

I understand the uprights on my MNR will take either set up but I have something else up my sleeve. I have a set of 10" drums from a XR4i to go on.

What shafts? Complete lobro's or my push ins with lobro ends on inboard??

I really don't see why you cant just remove the flanges from the LSD and push your existing shafts in in the normal way.

you take the back off to get at the circlips which hold the flanges in then providing the shafts have the same splines then it should just work.

Cheers

LSD's have uneaqual length shafts on the flanges

I think lobro's both ends need the disc braked hubs etc - unless you start modifing the bearing cariers (I'm not sure how different they are)

btw I've got a spare pair pair of CV joints if you need them
and a spare pair of push-in shafts (that I think might be the right ones)
