Quick track rod end qu.
I've taken my bedford's track rod ends off and replaced them with new ones. they're both handed and I've forgotten which goes
on which side (they connect to a long bar which looks the same the whole length, if they attached to a steering rack it'd be obvious where each
one goes)
I'm guessing normal handed one (i.e. tightens clockwise) goes on the driver side and vice versa?

If it's on the drag link that goes from one wheel to the other then iot doesn't matter.
It's only so that if you slack the lock nuts off and turn the rod it gets shorter or longer.

If they are left and right hand thread you will not be able to get them wrong, if they have a bend in them or something I would look for a picture or
see if they can foul anything.

Dosen't matter as long as you know what direction to turn the track rod to get the desired adjustment.

if one has a left hand thread, and the other has a right hand thread, each one will only go on one side
or maybe i've completely misunderstood the whole thing

it can go either way ^_^
thanks for the replies, I'll keep it the same way as the wheel nuts then (driver side tighten clockwise, passenger side tighten anticlockwise)

If I've got this right, the clue is in "Bedford" so it's a steering box rather than a rack+pinion.
So he has a long rod with a joint on both ends (with opposite threads) either betweel the two hubs or between two idler arms (or some similar
arrangement).
The opposing threads allow the rod length to be altered without removing the joints.

The wheelnuts are handed too
Now onto bleeding the fuel system after changing the fuel filter, manual pump arm, loosening off a few bolts. The manual that came with the truck is
great, actually useful unlike Haynes
