Clutch adjuster
Hi, I want to convert my quadrant adjusted clutch to cable adjusted. What I am looking for is the adjuster (hollow bolt) from a Ford clutch cable,
anybody got one sculking in there parts bin. Cheers Ray

is it not just a normal nut with a slot cut in it, think its a M10? usually there's two so you can lock one up against the other, just cut the
slot with a hack saw

Mr Whippy it's a quadrant adjusted clutch, so the cable does not have any form of adjustment, other than the quadrant, could try fixing two nuts
on that, but one nut working on it is enough, Cheers Ray

Yep know that, but was trying to be a tight arse, and save some pennies. Plus if I get a new adjustable cable it won't fit the quadrants pick up
point. But I suppose in the death will have to go down that route. Cheers Ray

If it's any help Burtons list the length of Ford clutch cables in their catalogue/website . I have a very vague memory of a conversion kit being
available to do away with the auto adjuster on some of the Ford models ,doubt it's still available though

Ahh! never thought of Burtons, have there catalogue in the garage will dig it out. Cheers Ray
Ordered a Cortina one from Burtons which looks like it will do the job. Now all I have got to do is fit it, Cheers
