diff & drive shaft overhaul

how much would it roughly cost to have a an LSD overhauled or reconditioned? my diff was whining a bit when i sorned it and given that the cost is within reason i might have it looked at.

second question,

how hard is it to overhaul and recondition drive shafts, what parts would i need etc? anyone got a manual on overhauling them etc?

Stuart @ classic conversions used to charge about £250 (he do it as an exchange one if you wanted) but I don't know if he's still doing it - he did a really good job of mine (not that I've had it running of course)

as long as there is nothing wrong with the LSD you could easy rebuild it yourself (there was a thread on here the other day witha a good link or look here: linky)

last time I looked a set of bearings and seals wasn't much over £60

as for the driveshafts if they seem ok I wouldn't bother, but the easy option is recond CV joints (about £25 each)
