Diff mounting

Hi Guys

Do you know if the diff just mounts on the chassis direct or whether there are any rubber parts that need to mounted with them to house the diff etc?
thanks

Either threaded bar or looong bolts, I'm pretty sure they're M12.

Best to put it in from below with someone to stick the bolts in/catch the diff when you drop it.

Hardly anyone fits any rubber to the diff - although i've been told its a really good idea to cushion the diff to stock the shock foces being transmitted to the chassis.

So, what is the reason? Never had a problem with the top bolt, needs a bit of a wiggle to get it past the frame, but nothing terrible.

Used threaded bolt in the end and the top one was a bit of a challenge wiggling it past the chassis but was fine after that.
thanks for all your help
