Toyo T1r tyres

Has anybody had these fitted to there kit car?
If so what were they like?
They seem like a good tyre at a good price (255/40/17)

I think they're as good all round value you'll get (thanks Mr Toyo £)
They work well wet and wera well, but even on a light 7 will warm up and get sticky on the track

They seem a lot quieter than other tyres too
Changed to them from goodyears and the road noise reduction was pretty impressive

Recently stuck some 195/50 R15 T1Rs on the Mojo and impressed so far (road miles and 1 trackday in wet & dry)

I've got them on mine. Good from cold and when warm they're great.

I put them on the back of my Golf GTI to replace the Conti Sport 2's I had (have on the front). 1/2 the price and as good as the Conti's in every department.

Seem to be wearing well too.

They will be going on the Indy as soon as I need to replace the tyres.

Only done a few hundred miles on mine but they do seem to stick well in wet or dry and as said above they are quiet! I can hardly hear any tyre noise when wearing my crash helmet with ear plugs in, no windscreen and twin sidepipes connected to a Rover V8 3.5 litre.

Quite remarkable really...

Seriously though, they are good!

In my opinion, probably the best value tyre of the lot. Awesome when you get some heat into them but still bloody good when cold and (apparently) more than adequate in the wet. Doesn't have the outright dry grip of R888 but still fantastic tyres and a third of the price.

I had some on mine and didn't like them. They took several hundred miles to run in (they were awful) and even then you pretty much had to be on the track to get any heat in them. The Pirelli P6000 that came with my ebay wheels were better.

Have you tried uniroyal rainsport 2.
Was the cheapest, good peforming tires i`ve ever bought.
Soft compound, probally too soft on track for a 1.5 ton celica using 205,40,17 size (with a friend who didn`t belive you need to brake for a corner - last time he touches my car!!!!!!!!!!!).
Bet on a seven it will be excellent.
Breaking grip in dry very good, in the wet ment to be fantastic, still yet to try in the wet. But as name sugests it is ment to excell.
