brake set up
hello i'm new to the forum
i've bought a part built locost with fireblade engine. As a track car is nearly finished but i'm going to put it through a iva at some
point and have a few things i'm not sure about.
there is 2 brake lines coming out of the master cylinder, one going to the front and T'd off to run to either side and one line runs to the back
and is split just like the front. is it a iva requirement to have one output of the master cylinder running to opposite corners?
on another note , is it worth getting a sva book or has alot of things changed for the iva?
thanks
steve

I believe your brake system will be fine, mine has one line to the back brakes and the other to the front.
It should be a split system but front on one circuit and rear on another is fine.
The IVA manual can be downloaded on line at
This linky
Hope that helps
Adrian
Why do I have to make the tools to finish the job? More time then money.

Welcome to the forum. Not sure if many things have changed as regards SVA/IVA but have a look in the IVA / legal section for IVA info . Sorry
can't do a link

if you have seperate master cylinders do you have a bias bar? if you do this must be welded the correct position so it cannot be adjusted.
Id say book the iva as the if it fails atleast your only fixing things you know need to be fixed rather than guessing from opinions off here etc as
each tester has an individual interpretation of the rules.
