Track rubber
I understand that the geometry setup required when using slicks is different to that of normal rubber - presumably more camber etc?
For better trackday performance, some people use R888's, some take separate wheels with slicks.
My question is, which is the "better" option? Permanent R888, or separate wheels with slicks but sub-optimal geometry (not going to
adjust camber every wheel change!)
A lot of people do swap wheels, so it can't be that sub-optimal?

Si, we dont have any problems swapping between 888s and Michelin slicks. They are both radial construction, and the standard settings seem to work
OK.
There probably is a more optimal set up for the slicks, but for trackdays I dont think it's worth bothering with...
Avon slicks, I think, are cross plies. They probably would need a set up change. I would guess, less camber?

If you have a pretty sorted trackday type set up I don't think you would notice too much difference to be honest. The slight compromise may mean
that you are not working the slicks quite as hard as they are capable of and you may get a small amount of premature wear but it's not as if you
are doing 24 heuer du Mans (I guess)
