Arrgg ruddy track rod ends

Well after fitting my rather spanking new wozsher wish bones, that sort of went:

Find I can't get the upper ball joint off the wishbone without me risking some damage
Think that rotating the wheel and screw off the wishbone is better.
Undo TREs
take off upper wishbones
put on new wishbones
Re-do TREs

Except the last point turned out no good as the TRE thread were now no good.

So off I go to the local Parkers to get a new pair.
Bike won't start.
Bike starts on a now near flat battery
Ride to parkers and get parts
Find the bike doesn't work as the battery didn't charge enough.
Get a "shop demonstration of how their line of boosters work" to find the bike won't start still.
Get a bump off the bloke from parkers which starts the bike.
Get home
Fit right hand TRE.
Fit right hand TRE again.......
This is the point where it all goes wrong as I bought two boxes, one marked with the left part no & one marked right, but got two right hand ones.

I guess its off to Parkers again next week.....

I think the term rhymes with clucking bell.

Two right hands is what you need isn't it, or are Wozsher's wishbones handed different to others?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

yep, Its not the top ball joints that I replaced but the track rod ends for the steering rack.

I was having a wee bit of difficulty getting the ball joints out so though the best thing to undo the steering rack, rotate the wheels then spin off the upper wish bone. It was really easy to do in the end. Took about as long to complete the job as the time I spent working out how to get the get the ball joint out without ending up having to get a new ball joint/wishbone/other bits.
