Securing brake lines/hoses to chassis brackets?
Hi all,
I've got a quick question about brake line fittings.
My chassis has a bracket in each corner through which the brake lines pass at the point where the copper pipe meets the flexible hose.
Just wandering how the brake lines are usually secured to these brackets - do I need to use a special fitting or union ? The diagram in my manual
just shows a female union at each corner.
Cheers,
Jek

Flexible (male) hose threaded part normally passes through the bracket and is then held in place with a nut and lock-washer before the female is
mounted on it.
Just ensure the flexie doesn't twist as you are tightening the female union though by holding the flexie union (not the lock-nut) with a
spanner.
HTH.

if you are using metric fittings they are M10 x 1 and if you use imperial they are 3/8" unf
I can post metric locnuts if you need them, just need to work out a price as I have recently bought a stock of them!

Thanks for the info guys.
I've ordered M10 fittings so I'd be interested in some M10 locknuts, NSDev. Guess I'll need at least 4, one for each corner,
I've sent you a u2u.
Cheers,
