Which grease for caliper sliders?
Do I need any special grease for caliper slider pins, or can I just use copperslip / LM / whatever is lying around!?
Cheers

For the pins I use red rubber grease or cv joint grease.

I find Copaslip dries up and sticks worse than before, proper silicone brake grease or rubber grease works better.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Waterproof Grease
Silicone grease.
Or Waterproof Grease, I got a sample of Waterproof Grease a few years ago, I don´t know brand, type, or even if there´s such a thing as waterproof,
but it works great, I still have some lurking around in my shop that I use now and then on Dayli Drivers.

Not really normal greases tend to wash out if expose too water for too long.

Yes, I know, but this was supposedly a very special grease for offshore use.
I still keep in touch with the guy that gave it to me, I´ll try to find out Brand and Type and post with TDS.

I wouldn't use copper slip.
CV grease for me.

^^ dito, needs to be rubber safe, other wise the rubber will probably be attacked in time.. Hence silicone grease is o.k, or other rubber grease..

like he said above, copper grease tends to swell the rubbers on the slidders and makes it worse than before. I use the red brake grease.
