hi is it ok to use 1.5 mm ally on floor on out side of chassis for ron champ locost cheers or would it be better thicker

Im using 1.2mm (18 gauge) for my floor , as reccomended by a Westfield/Locost specialist, It has to be NS4 though!!!!!!

i've not done my sides yet but general wisdom seems to be to use 1.2mm ali on the sides - so thats what i've got.

I will say 1.5mm is a lot harder to work with than 1.2mm.

I did the tunnel sides and rear bulk head in 1.2mm. I did the scuttle in 1.5mm.

I did the floor in tank armour ie 1.5mm steel

1.5mm would be fine all around if thats what you have. Depends what you will use the car for. On the road I would like a bit more than 1.5mm of alli between my bits and the tarmac.

2mm ali (don't know grade its as supplied by mk) on mine.... I even feel that should be thicker, still as far as i know all indys are 2mm..

Just FYI, my Dax came with 1.0mm ally for everything.
