Reszing Tapper in Front Sierra hub?
Hi all,
I came across a problem this afternoon while assembling the front suspension on my spire GTR. It looks like i am going to have to enlarge the taper
somehow on the lower mounting hole of my standard sierra front hubs.
You can see this issue in this picture :-

and here

Has anyone else came across this problem ?. Is this something that i can have a go enlarging myself ?
Cheers
Tris

as the spire gtr used to be an MK design it used the same parts with regards to suspension and when you buy an MK you have to get the uprights remed
by MK themselves so if you cant get any help out of spire give mk a call they have a jig for doing it but they do charge

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately both options involve quite a drive for me .
I just spoke to paul @ spire, who has a local engineering company do it for him (again at a cost).
Does anyone know of anywhere i could get this done locally ? (beds, herts, bucks ?)
Cheers

I'm sure some people have done this with a hand reamer?

I used that reamer and ran it slowly in my battery drill - worked a treat
