Lost pins for Sierra rear brake calipers - Help ! :)
Hello all,
Somehow i have managed to loose the pins which connect the sierra rear brake calipers to the rear hubs (the pins which allow the calipers to slide
back and forth).
Here's a picture showing the bit that ive lost which are normally covered with a small boot (ive actually lost all four which came off the old
sierra !)

Does anyone know where i can get 4 replacements from ?
Cheers

Thanks Russ, one ordered now. I have the bolts/boots etc already having just lost the pins but replacing them isn't hardly going to break the
bank
PS, just noticed you too are building a GTR - how far have you got ?
Cheers

Paul at Spire is doing some chassis mods for me at the moment so I'm just sourcing parts and refurbishing/rebuilding the donor Sierra parts.
Are you going for a bike engine?

Had a look at your blog - nice work on the car buddy! You've made good progress so far.
I can't wait to get on with mine. I'm fitting an Audi/VW 1.8T engine and transaxle instead of the bike engine (and to be a bit
different!!).
Have you got a link to where you got the front brake set up? Is it a Rally Design kit?
Cheers,
Russ

The front setup is a bit of a custom from Paul. The disks are from an Audi (i think) with a small spacer being used between the inner face of the disk
and the sierra hub (the disk being designed for a larger hub).
The calipers are then just Willwood Midilites 283x24.
When comparing pauls prices for this setup with just the calipers from Rally Design, paul worked out cheaper, so thats what i went with. They do look
very pretty once on
Be very interested in seeing how your's goes together though . I did hear that someone is putting a Audi Diesel into one GT-R for endurance
racing !

Thanks, that's interesting stuff, I'll have to talk to Paul about that brake setup.
I did consider a diesel Audi engine to make the car a bit like my avatar
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
but I've gone for the petrol engine with a remap so should see close to 200bhp. Having said that, I just won a bargain K04 turbo upgrade on
eBay a few minutes ago . Yum!

Back on topic... I got some from Bigg Red when I lost mine. Re-plated too, so even if you've not lost them it's worth switching them over
if yours are looking a bit scabby.
