Ford handbrake cable to Jag hub
This may not make much sense without piccys but il have a go.
The Jag hubs that i am using use a clevis pin arrangement to connect the handbrake cable to the handbrake mechanism. Due to the age of the
cable/mechanism, the handbrake cable had to be cut off the car and the pin on the clevis arrangement had to be drilled out to remove the cable.
The problem i have now is that the jab handbrake cable is almost impossible to find and fairly expensive (£20 - £30 per cable!) and the pin isnt made
any more.
Now i have an escort handbrake cable (same end as sierra) and what i would like to know is if it would be ok if i put the nipple at the end of the
cable through the hole on the handbrake mechanism and secured it with an R clip?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Its £20 to £30 per cable. Two rear cables and one to connect to the handbrake.
those allegro cables look good. Any idea what i could use in place of the pin?
